To Lead is to M-O-V-E

“You don’t lead by pointing and telling people some place to go.
You lead by going to that place and making a case.”
– Ken Kesey[i]

LEADER is a word bantered about in the media on a daily basis; world LEADER, company LEADER, band LEADER. If you were to Google the term “leader,” you would receive over one billion results.

A true leader creates motion. The leader builds, applies, innovates, competes and strategizes. There is nothing static about a leader.

The most basic definition of a leader is “one who leads.” You must move something to someplace new if you are to be a leader. The more followers a leader draws with them in the movement, the bigger the goals that can be achieved. Pure physics!

The bottom line to successful leading is to M-O-V-E.
